In this December 1971 file photo, newly independent Bangladesh guerrillas in Dacca use bayonets to torture and kill four men suspected of collaborating with Pakistani militiamen who had been accused of murder, rape and looting during months of civil war.

They Are Bangladeshi Not Bengali- Most people don’t know the difference between Bengali (WB, India) and Bangladeshi identity. They are two different identities. Bangladeshi people are often confused as Bengali. They are quite different. They (Bangladeshi) have separate language with accent, history, culture and geographical demarcation. A Bangladeshi may claim to be but not exactly a Bengali. They use Bengali as co-identity.
